This is the first collaboration project on Roadstas, and which are specially featured by metallic and shining material which looks to be patent leather. Also, “Milo-ed” Pharrell “In My Mind” head is embroidered on every back heel. Retail price is set to be 17,640 Yen or about 150 USD.

NIKE SB Three Bears Pack release in South East Asia

The Nike SB 3 bears pack consisting of the Dunk Low Premium SB(baby bear), Dunk Mid Premium SB (mama bear) and the Dunk High Premium SB (Papa bear) are the most hyped up SBs which are available in South East Asia after a long time (Michael Lau Gardener SB doesn't count cause we couldn't even get them here).

Surface 2 Air Paris

Surface 2 Air has just recently opened a new store location in Sao Paolo and before we feature that store we first wanted to give you some impressions of their store in Paris, that has been around now already for a while.

Like everything else that S2A touches, the store also has a very special feel to it. Walls are high and white, the store is long and thin. Clothes hang all over the wall and they mostly carry their own brand and a little of others, such as Swear shoes and Umbro by Kim Jones. What is always nice to see at S2A is that their prices are actually quite reasonable for what they provide. Overall I would also say, that the store has a bit of a Rock’N Roll feel to it!

Puma Walt 'Clyde' Frazier

It’s a little after 11:00am and this demure room in New York’s upscale Soho Grand hotel is roaring with laughter. The person on the couch is the center of attention and the reason for the hilarity that has just ensued. “Today’s [basketball] players embellish that money doesn’t give you style,” he observes while gesturing for emphasis. “A lot of these guys have money but they don’t have style. You can’t buy style!” And thus the roaring began. Who is this man? What makes him so qualified to comment on others’ fashion choices? His name is Walt “Clyde” Frazier. And since he gave birth to flamboyant trends decades ago that some are still following today, there’s arguably nobody more appropriate to be critiquing today’s fashion trends than him.

Three models of the shoe — navy in New York, natural in London and orange in Tokyo — dropped in limited numbers in each city. Included in the special sealed From the PUMA Archive box was a certificate of authenticity, shoe care instruction booklet and suede shoe brush. Each package also included a picture of Clyde Frazier sealed in a gold envelope, and one of every 25 was autographed by Clyde himself. After the initial release, the Clyde was sold exclusively at only six other shops in the United States and, with that, the limited edition version came to a close. It was a successful launch and the only one in recent memory to educate its consumers about the history and importance of the product. With the Clyde, PUMA treated it less like a shoe that is was selling than a legend it was revering.

Opening Party of MANGA

Rocked up to Central World Plaza not knowing what to expect ... I know expectations were riding high, and as usual, a million cynics and a million critics were waiting to pounce.

This is the scene that greeted us at the Manga Grand Slam Opening Party:

Holy shit ... more than 2,000 ppl turned up for this shebang and this was definitely one of the best (if not the best) store launches I have ever been to.

Hats off to the Manga and playground! crew .. amazing job of transforming the whole fore-court in front of the store into a club. Shit was mad, I tell you.


Part of the whole process of this "lifestyle" that we are immersed in involves "educating" (I prefer the word "cultivating") people about the things that we like, whether it be music, literature or fashion.

I think the playground! crew have created a great platform to do this in Southeast Asia.

I always love custom made stuff, because I know it's hard to manufacture, which makes it limited and unique. Manga had loads of custom made shit everywhere.


Racks and racks of goodness everywhere. Good shit from Know1edge, Crooks & Castles, Hellz Bellz, Fucking Awesome, Head Porter, Vans X Marc Jacobs, Recon, Undercover, Creative Recreation, Maharishi and many more of the hottest labels make Manga a streetwear heaven for those in the know.

The store's decor is playground!'s interpretation of the urban lifestyle, so it's a little bit more refreshing than the anal-retentive underground bullshit that you see in so many other places around the world.

With the launch of the Nike Air Max 95 it seemed as if a new era of footwear had begun. In he following years one iconic style after the other was launched and frenetically celebrated by sneaker enthusiasts: Zoom Flight 95, Footscape, Air Rift, Kukini, Air Max 97, Presto & Presto Roam, Woven. The highlight and perfectly adequate shoe to be stepping into the new millennium with was the Nike Air Flightposite. All the signs pointed towards the future and with every year, design and technology was pushed further. Performance-based footwear crossed over into lifestyle. People picked up athletic shoes for their progressive design, the technology as well as for the comfort, the three key aspects of successful performance footwear.

Then, it all stopped. Someone pushed "Rewind" and kept the finger on the button... for a very very long time... During the past five to six years, the discussion about sneakers has been circling around the terms "retro" and "re-issue". Even though all-around, technology was progressing, in the world of sneakers everything went backwards. While people were discussing the design of technologically advanced cars, motorcycles, or the beloved cell-phones, talking about a shoe meant talking about a material or just a colorway.
And talk there was – and still is – a lot.

While people who are interested in and collect cars also drive them, while people who love electronics use their phones and computers, people who have been getting into the 'game' of
sneakers have been taught the opposite of what shoes were originally meant and made for: to be worn. Through the never-ending series of sneaker exhibitions, through the millions of threads on the innumerable sneaker foums, through high-profile ebay auctions and misguided individuals, paying insane amounts of money, one very clear signal was set, one message conveyed: "do not wear!".

Technology put to a halt, sneakers hidden in closets, turned into "art", a lot of talk but no action... so why exactly are we still interested? Because something had to happen.

Medicom Life Entertainment x Disney x Roen

Some of you might already have seen the vinyl figure that Roen has developed a while back with Disney and Medicom. It was exactly this Mickey Mouse smashing the guitar. Now they went one step further and brought the same imagery back via Medicom Life Entertainment, this time on a pillow. The front has the Mickey Mouse and the back has a Roen pattern, even the inside has been designed with the skull and bones that we see from so many japanese brands. The pillow should be already out in stores!
