Y3 x La Hacienda

Here we show you a highly limited trainer from Y-3 (the brand created by adidas and Yohji Yamamoto), devised especially to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of legendary Manchester nightclub The Haçienda. The shoe’s design is a collaboration between Peter Saville (the original Factory Records graphic designer), Ben Kelly (the architect who designed the original Haçienda interiors) and Joy Division/New Order bass player, Peter Hook.

The trainers come in a custom six-sided, maple-bottomed box (the same shape as the Haçienda’s dancefloor) and will be wrapped in four sheets of tissue paper – two will feature Kevin Cummins’ photography of the club in its late 80s heyday, one will be adorned with Ben Kelly’s original design sketches for the Haçienda’s interior, while a fourth will reflect how the space looks today.

A DVD documenting a discussion between Kelly, Saville and Hook sharing anecdotes about the club, Factory Records and how they feel about that time in their lives 25 years on will also be included in the package.

The shoe, strictly limited to just 250 pairs, will be sold exclusively in the Y-3 Manchester store for two weeks before it goes on sale in Y-3’s Shop-in-Shop at Selfridges London, Y-3’s flagship store in Tokyo and other selected retailers worldwide. The FAC51-Y3 will be priced at a cool £345, which will probably already limit the amount of people interested

There were ONLY 75 pieces of this Solebox Puma Clyde X GelaSkin iPod Video Skin collab produced. 25 pieces were given away and sold at Solebox last Friday with the release of the shoe. For the rest of the world there are another 40 pieces available starting Saturday.

Royalefam Friends & Family Dunk SB Premium Edition

On the 21st July 2006, SBTG collaborated with Nike SB to produce an asian exclusive Dunk Lo Premium that was queued overnight for and sold out on the first day in every of its strictly allocated cities. Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Tokyo, Australia and New Zealand.

Now the artist is dropping a special Friends & Family version of the so popular sneaker. The shoe has a few more special features compared to the released version. This one comes armoured in a fully printed special makeup drawer box. Fresh fire red laces clipped with a Royalefam tarnished gold lace buckle tuned to match the swoosh. This release consists of the last ever stocks of this model.

The sneaker will be released on June 29th and will be first available at Gallery in Singapore. Later on selected stores will also receive some - SoleBox/Germany, Bodega/USA, Essence/Japan, Wellgosh/UK, WoodWood/Germany, Ubiq/USA and a few others.

The Nike SB Zoom Air P-Rod II bursted on to the scene in March 2007. Not only the looks were perceived very well, the shoe has also proofed to be technically one of the best on the market, featuring the inside of the Zoom Tre, Nike Zoom Air technology, phylon midsole for the light weight and a lot more. New Era Comic Heroes Series

New Era has some new license agreements and can thus release some hot new caps, featuring the logos of our favorite comic heroes - Batman, Spiderman and Superman. Alife were the first to present New Era caps featuring patent leather. New Era now also used patent leather to entirely cover these caps in it. Each cap features a thick 3D embroidery of the respective logo on the front.

The caps will be released today, June 9th, at the new New Era London flagship store!

With it's misshaped teeth and diamond studded skull, the latest piece of art from DAMIEN HIRST (famous for his preserved sharks) looks like an inverted image of rapper Paul Wall (known for his misshaped head and diamond studded teeth).

Entitled "For the Love of God" after his mum asked him "for the love of God what are you going to do next" (gotta love that, wish we could reveal a diamond covered skull whenever our mum asked the same thing), it's up for sale for about US$100 million. Not exactly cheap, but you can always justify it as being good value relative to the intrinsic value of the piece. Compare that to the ratio of the cost of paint and canvas in a Van Gogh to its sale price...

Anyway, we're betting 10 bucks and a goblet of crunk juice that Lil Jon buys it, adds a chain and starts wearing it around his neck.
