Adidas x UNDR-CRWN Partly Revealed

During Magic in February we had the chance to have a look at the Adidas x UNDR-CRWN sneaker collection. First of all it's great to see these two companies get together and what we have seen was just insane. You can be sure that you have never seen basketball shoes like that before.

The official release of the Adidas x UNDR-CRWN collaboration collection is May, but here we already have a look at one of the sneakers dropping. Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas revealed the first pair during last nights game. This first collaboration has been done on the GIL ZERO LOW. A funky design in multicolor as well as the black/white pattern on the sole make this a very special sneaker and you can trust us when we say, that this is still the most simple one in the collaboration collection.

PF Flyers 70th Anniversary Collection

In 1933, canvas footwear pioneer BF Goodrich patented the Posture Foundation insole, an innovation in comfort and performance, and began adding the new technology to its action shoes. Goodrich shoes with Posture Foundation became known simply as “P-F” in 1937.

PF Flyers celebrates its 70th Anniversary this year with a new clothing collection. Drooghi is one of the first ones to have received it and it's looking good. Classic cardigans and other knitwear with nice details and colorways as well as some great shirts make up the first pieces of this collection. The collection clearly represents the heritage of the brand and does not try to be what it is not.

Jesse Edwards

Local bad boy artist Jesse Edwards will be unveiling his new line of ceramic pieces that lie somewhere between Majolica and Graffiti. Having recently learned the fine art of Slip casting from local ceramics god Charlie Krafft, Jesse has cast everything from spray cans and toy trucks to an incendiary gas can that shouts revolution. This new direction has injected a vibrancy into Mr. Edwards work that I love and feel is a welcome addition to his already worthy body of work. Please get down to BLVD this Saturday to see this amazing work by one of Seattle’s future Legends.

« Banjir Puisi di Stasiun ! »

Pembacaan Puisi
Sejumlah anggota Komunitas Puisi BungaMatahari, termasuk Aurelia Tiara (penulis buku kumpulan puisi ”Sub Rosa") dan Johannes Sugianto (penulis buku kumpulan puisi ”Di Lengkung Alis Matamu”)

Pameran Karya Visual
Henry C. Widjaja (instalasi foto-puisi)
Sejumlah anggota dari sebuah komunitas urban art (graffiti-puisi)

Musik & Musikalisasi Puisi
Kuartet Otak and Chair

Banjir salam,

CCF Jakarta dan Komunitas Puisi BungaMatahari

KISER commemorates 10yrs of B.I.G passing.

KISER have created a limited edition “JUICY” t-shirt and hoodie to commemorate the 10yr anniversary of the passing of The Notorious B.I.G. The graphic is inspired by a phrase on the old Scarface movie posters that reads; “He loved the American Dream. With a vengeance.” The same can be said for the late great Frank White and that’s what we admire so much about him.

Original Fake Spring 2007

You have heard right, Original Fake introduces denim in their Spring 07 line. The one product missing in the line is the selvedge denim that they introduce now.

Just like all previous products out of the Medicom x Kaws collaboration, the attention to detail is there. Cross-eyes embroidered on the back pockets, OF rivets and buttons and they also feature a skeleton print inner lining. They are 501 style jeans and come in two colorways: blue and black.

Firmament just launched the entire new Original Fake Spring 07 collection, consisting of tee's, hoodies, beanies, scarfs and this denim. The price is actually also not too crazy, less than one would have expected - 178 Euros (220 USD).

JAMMIE CULLUM @ JAVA JAZZ 2007

I didn't see much on Java Jazz 2007(to be honest I only saw 1 show hehehe), Since it's my first time came here and don't know whether it's my first or my last :(
I only saw one show ... The one that every ppl waited for : JAMIE CULLUM !!!

1 hour queuing in front of the main hall was nothing compare to what i saw.
He was f*ckin' awesome, very interactive, energic and creative :)
Starting with "what a difference" song then medley of various artist's song also "mind trick", He electrify the audience with his energetic move, his indonesian warm greeting and also the way he interact with the audience. As some of you may know about his stage performance, he always do the "i am what i am" style. He drank wine on the stage, saying silly crap and offhand but he knocked everyone out with his performance.
the crowd was kicking also.

I'll put up some pics later ...

Wade 2.0

The WADE 2.0 signature shoe reflects the duality of Wade’s game with a “Rose and Thorn” design inspiration – his fierceness on the court meets the beauty of his game. “Watching Dwyane’s game, I would describe it as ‘gracefully aggressive.’ His game is definitely beautiful, but there’s an element about it that wants to dominate his opponent and protect his team, much like a thorn protects the rose,” said Duane Lawrence, Converse Designer. “In the WADE 2.0, that inspiration translates into flowing lines, interrupted unexpectedly by sharper shapes which are strategically placed to protect his feet and help improve performance.”
The WADE 2.0 is made of a combination of non–stretch, durable synthetic leather and soft nubuck. The molded overlay rand increases lateral stability and an enhanced dual density sockliner create optimal comfort. The collar has two strategically placed pods with softer density foam to enhance fit and comfort around the ankle. Design elements relating to Wade include a perforated pattern on the medial side of the shoe that has an embossed “Z” for his son, Zaire. The upper and outsole both have a repeating “W” pattern inspired by Wade and the Thorn. Finally, there is a leather patch behind the tongue featuring Dwyane Wade’s signature.
The Converse WADE 2.0 will roll out in various colorways through May 2007. It will retail for MSRP at $100 at Footlocker, Finish Line, Footaction, Champs, select independent retailers and online at www.converse.com. The shoe’s two launch colorways include an NBA All-Star 2007 colorway in a white/navy/crimson and a black/white/red colorway.
The Converse WADE apparel line includes a completely integrated collection of athletic and casual sportswear including T-shirts, performance shorts, fleeces, warm-ups, shooting shirts, track jackets, hats and bags. Each product includes three points of signature detail that pay homage to Wade ranging from Converse’s WADE logo, custom screened images of Wade, the number “3” or his name. Enhanced design elements include the highest quality woven labels, multiple fabrics including performance technology as well as the finest combed cotton, signature custom zippers with limited edition zipper pulls and one of a kind graphics.
The WADE apparel line hits stores on March 1, 2007 and will be available at Finish Line, Foot Locker, Eastbay, Footaction, Champs, Macy’s Florida and select independent retailers. Price ranges include T-shirts for $25-$35, performance shorts for $45-$60; fleece jackets for $85, backpacks at $55; and hats for $25.

Anti-skateboard Devices

We just came across a pretty interesting article on anti-skateboard devices becoming more and more common features in urban space.

The article mainly analyses the Embarcaderso in San Francisco and how now metal plates are being placed on benches and concrete elements. The funny part is that is does not prevent skateboarders from skating, but just makes them more creative. In the mean time all sorts of different things have been added to prevent anybody from skateboarding in the area.

Just like benches being made uncomfortable, so that homeless people do not sleep on public spaces anymore, the same moves are being taken all around the globe against skateboarders.

The major issue with these actions is, that first of all it does not prvent anybody from skateboarding anyways and that it makes areas look ugly and uncomfortable for everybody. Thus, bottom line, you might as well leave it and let people do what they want, as long as they do not disturb others.
